SSC Core Values

At SSC, we teach our scholars the values they need to succeed in life. This set of values corresponds with their heritage and a globalized, interconnected world. The Core Values are woven into every aspect of our school life and curriculum.

  1. Positive Self Image
We encourage our students to accept  and be proud of themselves as who and what they are, with all their differences. This acceptance builds the confidence to strive for greater goals and to continuously grow and flourish.
  2. Empathy
Learning to care for others and show support for individual experiences not only develops a compassionate classmate but also a respectful citizen of the world. At Sharm el Sheikh College, we nurture empathy within our students from their very first day with us through to graduation.
  3. Communication
We believe communication is a vital skill for children to be able to grow up, interact successfully and lead happy, productive lives. At Sharm el Sheikh College, students learn to communicate effectively through verbal and written skills, expression and body language as well as understanding the importance of listening to communication from others.
  4. Cooperation
Our students are encouraged to share and learn together, for a common purpose. Cooperation is essential in establishing an atmosphere where students, and teachers, can respect each other to learn, create and grow.
  5. Adaptability
Sharm el Sheikh College values adaptability. We believe that the willingness and skill to adapt is critical for success in life. Given the world’s accelerating pace of change, it is our responsibility to empower our young students with the skills to thrive and succeed in different countries and cultures. Another aspect of adaptability is to learn to manage oneself and to regulate personal emotions. At SSC we promote self-management and stress management to enable our students to live a happy life
  6. Inquiry
At Sharm el Sheikh College we believe that an inquisitive student is an engaged student. We encourage students to question the world around them and pursue topics that they are passionate about until they are satisfied. We want our students to discover how their interests or hobbies can translate into life and work outside of school. We encourage our students to think critically and analyse the information they acquire.
  1. Resilience
We challenge our students to practice resilience. Being willing to accept and learn from disappointment and failure is a key skill that helps students stretch themselves and understand that they are in control of their own success. Perseverance is essential for achieving their potential.
  1. Global Mindset
In a world rapidly changing through technology, travel and communication, it is our duty at Sharm el Sheikh College to empower our students with a global mindset. We create an environment where children from different countries and cultures can learn from, and about, each other, thus expanding their minds about the world around them. At SSC we promote respect and tolerance for all cultures and beings.
  1. Design Thinking
At Sharm el Sheikh College, we want our students to understand process as well as outcomes. We encourage our students to explore how objects around them work and how they can be improved. Design thinking is creativity put into practice.
  2. Entrepreneurship
We celebrate and nurture entrepreneurial spirit within our students. We encourage them to be inventors of their own futures who take charge of their lives. Sharm el Sheikh College students know how to solve problems and improve the world around them.
